Valemont University was founded in 1646, and is one of the oldest schools in the United States.
Valemont University was founded in 1646 under the motto Ex Sanguine Scientia - From Blood, Knowledge. For over three centuries, this thirst for knowledge is what unites Valemont students, faculty and alumni.
Valemont alumni have a long history of contributing to the social welfare through public service. Alumna Clara Barton founded the American Red Cross, and in 1956 a community blood bank was established at the university in her honor.
Twenty-seven current and former Valemont faculty members have been awarded Nobel Prizes.
